Are black people half animal?

Hi

The idea that certain races of non-white people are derived from mating
between animals and humans won't go down well in today's society. Which is
one reason why you won't hear it taught from Adventist pulpits, or hear it
preached in the prophecy seminars you later discovery to be Adventist-run.

This was written by Ellen White (no pun intended on her name) - the
Adventist prophetess, whose inspiration is of the same degree as the
inspiration of the Bible ("We do not believe that the quality or degree of
inspiration in the writings of Ellen White is different from that of
Scripture." - http://www.whiteestate.org/issues/scripsda.html)

Although modern Adventists try to deny that she taught this, it was taught
by some during her time by others, and the teaching was defended by some of
her contemporaries, such as Uriah Smith, with her knowledge. Her husband
even gave Smith's book a glowing review:

The Association has just published a pamphlet entitled, "The Visions of Mrs.
E.G. White, A Manifestation of Spiritual Gifts According to the Scriptures."
It is written by the editor of the Review. While carefully reading the
manuscript, I felt grateful to God that our people could have this able
defense of those views they so much love and prize, which others despise and
oppose.
- James White, Review, Aug. 15, 1868.

Ellen's statements:

But if there was one sin above another which called for the destruction of
the race by the flood, it was the base crime of amalgamation of man and
beast which defaced the image of God, and caused confusion everywhere.
- Ellen White, Spiritual Gifts, Vol. 3, p. 64.

Every species of animal which God had created were preserved in the ark. The
confused species which God did not create, which were the result of
amalgamation, were destroyed by the flood. Since the flood there has been
amalgamation of man and beast, as may be seen in the almost endless
varieties of species of animals, and in certain races of men.
- Ellen White, Spiritual Gifts, Vol. 3, p. 75.

Contemoraneous teachings:

...that crosses between men and animals had created a no-man's-land between
man and beast, populated by gorillas, chimpanzees, wild bushmen of Africa,
Patagonians, and Hottentots.
- Gordon Shigley, "Amalgamation of Man and Beast: What Did Ellen White
Mean?", Spectrum, vol. 12, no. 4, p. 13.

... the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the
beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of
animals of one species with the other.
- Jasher 4:18. [Evidence that Ellen White used this as a source can be found
at http://www.ellenwhite.org/refute7.htm]

Uriah Smith's defence:

"Since the flood there has been amalgamation of man and beast, as may be
seen in the almost endless varieties of species of animals, and in certain
races of men." This view was given for the purpose of illustrating the deep
corruption and crime into which the race fell, even within a few years after
the flood that signal manifestation of God's wrath against human wickedness.
There was amalgamation; and the effect is still visible in certain races of
men." Mark, those excepting the animals upon whom the effects of this work
are visible, are called by the vision, "men." Now we have ever supposed that
anybody that was called a man, was considered a human being. The vision
speaks of all these classes as races of men; yet in the face of this plain
declaration, they foolishly assert that the visions teach that some men are
not human beings! But does any one deny the general statement contained in
the extract given above? They do not. If they did, they could easily be
silenced by a reference to such cases as the wild Bushmen of Africa, some
tribes of the Hottentots, and perhaps the Digger Indians of our own country,
&c. Moreover, naturalists affirm that the line of demarkation between the
human and animal races is lost in confusion. It is impossible, as they
affirm, to tell just where the human ends and the animal begins. Can we
suppose that this was so ordained of God in the beginning? Rather has not
sin marred the boundaries of these two kingdoms?
- Uriah Smith, The Visions of Mrs. E. G. White, A Manifestation of Spiritual
gifts According to the Scripture, pp. 103-4

Adventism has offered all sorts of ideas that this could refer to - genetic
engineering (since the flood???), interracial marriage (enough of those in
the Bible) or marriage between godly and ungodly people (how does that alter
a race?) - but the evidence is against these excuses.

More on this racist teaching - http://www.ellenwhite.org/critica.htm

Sad. But truly good that these inspired words of Ellen White are not taken
seriously by her followers.

God bless,
Stephen

It isn't possible for humans to breed with animals. If Ellen White thought

- Ellen White, Spiritual Gifts, Vol. 3, p. 75.
What else she said about the two races of man(believers and apostates)
before the flood:

" Upon receiving the curse of God, Cain had withdrawn from his father's
household. He had first chosen his occupation as a tiller of the soil,
and he now founded a city, calling it after the name of his eldest son.
He had gone out from the presence of the Lord, cast away the promise of
the restored Eden, to seek his possessions and enjoyment in the earth
under the curse of sin, thus standing at the head of that great class of
men who worship the god of this world. In that which pertains to mere
earthly and material progress, his descendants became distinguished. But
they were regardless of God, and in opposition to His purposes for man.
To the crime of murder, in which Cain had led the way, Lamech, the fifth
in descent, added polygamy, and, boastfully defiant, he acknowledged
God, only to draw from the avenging of Cain an assurance of his own
safety. Abel had led a pastoral life, dwelling in tents or booths, and
the descendants of Seth followed the same course, counting themselves
"strangers and pilgrims on the earth," seeking "a better country, that
is, an heavenly." Hebrews 11:13, 16.

For some time the two classes remained separate. The race of Cain,
spreading from the place of their first settlement, dispersed over the
plains and valleys where the children of Seth had dwelt; and the latter,
in order to escape from their contaminating influence, withdrew to the
mountains, and there made their home. So long as this separation
continued, they maintained the worship of God in its purity. But in the
lapse of time they ventured, little by little, to mingle with the
inhabitants of the valleys. This association was productive of the worst
results. "The sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair."
The children of Seth, attracted by the beauty of the daughters of Cain's
descendants, displeased the Lord by intermarrying with them. Many of the
worshipers of God were beguiled into sin by the allurements that were
now constantly before them, and they lost their peculiar, holy
character. Mingling with the depraved, they became like them in spirit
and in deeds; the restrictions of the seventh commandment were
disregarded, "and they took them wives of all which they chose." The
children of Seth went "in the way of Cain" (Jude 11); they fixed their
minds upon worldly prosperity and enjoyment and neglected the
commandments of the Lord. Men "did not like to retain God in their
knowledge;" they "became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish
heart was darkened." Romans 1:21. Therefore "God gave them over to a
mind void of judgment." Verse 28, margin. Sin spread abroad in the earth
like a deadly leprosy."

Patriarchs and Prophets p 81

The only other references there are with the word amalgamation in them
support that this is what she meant.

In the parable of the sower the question was asked the master, "Didst
not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?"
The master answered, "An enemy hath done this" (Matt. 13:27, 28). All
tares are sown by the evil one. Every noxious herb is of his sowing, and
by his ingenious methods of AMALGAMATION he has corrupted the earth with
tares. {2SM 288.2} [Note in Jesus' parable the wheat are God's servants
, and the Tares are Satan]

The reason why so little is accomplished to fulfill the words of the
Lord's prayer. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, as it is in
heaven," is that many of those whose names swell the church list, have
never been joined to Christ; but they have so mingled with the world
that their lives and characters are fashioned after the world's
standard. In place of pointing heavenward, they are as sign-boards
directing to the world. They are not in union with Christ as is the
branch to the vine, although Jesus says, "Without me ye can do nothing."
{RH, August 23, 1892 par. 1}
Christ and the world are not in partnership. The apostle says,
"Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?
Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any
man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." Conformity to
the world will never be the means of converting the world to Christ.
Christians must be entirely consecrated to God, if the church is to be
efficient in its influence for good upon unbelievers. The slightest
diversion from Christ is so much influence, power, and efficiency given
to the enemy. The church was called into existence to counteract the
influence of Satan; but as member after member of the church allows his
ability and power to be diverted, one in one line and another in another
line, connections are formed with the world, and the enemy of all
righteousness triumphs. Almost imperceptibly the world's standard, the
world's maxims and customs, are introduced into the church; and as these
find room, the objectionable maxims and customs more boldly appear, and
leaven the influence of the church; and Satan's devices are successful,
just as he has designed they should be. In this way there is brought
into the church a mixed company, a divided service. Many profess to love
God, yet they are serving mammon, and bowing at worldly shrines. The
world is brought into the church, but not through repentance,
contrition, and conversion, but because church-members become wedded to
the world; and this unholy union is the explanation of the weakness and
inefficiency of the church. It is made manifest when church-members
follow the maxims of the world, that spiritual discernment is gone.
Where this union is preserved, contention, criticism, faultfinding,
strife, and decided hatred one of another comes in among those who
should be servants of Jesus Christ. {RH, August 23, 1892 par. 2}
Those who profess to be followers of Christ, should be living
agencies, co-operating with heavenly intelligences; but by union with
the world, the character of God's people becomes tarnished, and through
AMALGAMATION with the corrupt, the fine gold becomes dim. When worldly
agencies are introduced into the church, it is evident that Satan is
carrying out his devices, working through those who profess to be
followers of Christ, making them ready at any time to engage with him in
disheartening and discouraging those who are faithful, who would stand
wholly on the Lord's side. {RH, August 23, 1892 par. 3}

They were not races. Race isn't defined by belief. And this can't be what
amalgamation means, as there are cases of believers and unbelievers marrying
in the Bible with God's blessing. You ignored that evidence the first time
round.

What evidence? Where did you write this to me? Link please.

Unless you have some compelling evidence I'm not going to argue with you
about this anymore. Reason being I know of too many examples of God
saying the exact opposite. Here's two: 2Cr 6:14 Be ye not unequally
yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness
with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? It
was forbidden in the Mosaic law: Deut 7:3 Neither shalt thou make
marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor
his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. 4 For they will turn away
thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods...

What else she said about the two races of man(believers and apostates)
{RH, August 23, 1892 par. 1}
Where this union is preserved, contention, criticism, faultfinding,
strife, and decided hatred one of another comes in among those who
should be servants of Jesus Christ. {RH, August 23, 1892 par. 2}
Those who profess to be followers of Christ, should be living
agencies, co-operating with heavenly intelligences; but by union with
the world, the character of God's people becomes tarnished, and through
AMALGAMATION with the corrupt, the fine gold becomes dim. When worldly
agencies are introduced into the church, it is evident that Satan is
carrying out his devices, working through those who profess to be
followers of Christ, making them ready at any time to engage with him in
disheartening and discouraging those who are faithful, who would stand
wholly on the Lord's side. {RH, August 23, 1892 par. 3}
Please explain how amalgamation, as you described, could be considered a
base crime or how it could be seen to deface the image of God. A base crime
is a sexual crime as used in Mrs. White's other writings. Man is made in
the image of God according to the Bible. With these two understandings, how
can sex with another human result in defacing the image of God?

Perhaps you don't, but Ellen White did see a difference in appearance

Please explain how amalgamation, as you described, could be
considered

a

base crime or how it could be seen to deface the image of God.
A

base
Post by Stephen Korsman

crime
is a sexual crime as used in Mrs. White's other writings. Man
is

the image of God according to the Bible. With these two
understandings,

how
can sex with another human result in defacing the image of God?

When has God ever been concerned about somebody's physical

characterwise. Read what I quoted again.
Uniting with unbelievers led them away from God, and into

and

sin.
How is this a "base crime" to use Mrs. White's words.
Turning away from God and his truth (apostacy) to serve a liar and
murderer
(Satan) is the basest of crimes.
Mrs. White used the term "base crime" only one other time and that was
to

describe the charge of rape Joseph was accused of. i.e. Joseph was
charged
with a base crime. Your answer doesn't answer the question re: Mrs.
White's
amalgamation statements.
Post by Stephen Korsman
Sin is transgression of the law, that may not seem like a base crime

you
but for those who know God's law is a transcript of his very
character

of

originally made man in - His.
Mrs. White used the term "base" to mean low, but often it was also
animal

and/or sexual.
Post by Stephen Korsman
Secondly, how is it
that amalgamation produces "endless varieties of" and "confused"

"Since
the flood there has been amalgamation of man and beast, **as may be

as

well.

Because Mrs. White said that the evidence of amalgamation was visual.

MUST I KEEP SAYING THIS

meant that falling into paganism causes one's skin to darken and

Maybe not today, but historically, they have been Christian. Which

pagans evolved their dark skin due to religious practices.

Perhaps the amalgamation refers to a World Government. There has to be a

Stephen,
You are the most boring human being imaginable. You have been told
hundreds of times that this amalgamation refers to the amalgamation of
humans with humans and the amalgamation of animals with animals, but
you just won't listen.
I've been told that, but the evidence doesn't support the claim that that is

Just one more example of why it is impossible to have a rational discussion

kettle black for pointing it out to him, and keep waging his unending
war...And then sign off with a hypocritical blessing to those he opposes,

There is the human species, there are no races. Whites, blacks,
yellows and reds are all of the same race. Two diferent races can't
breed (or have descendants that can breed).
1. What this Adventist = Ellen White you talk about? Ellen White could
be in the beggining of the Adventist church, but she was not the
church, nor is worshiped by the church.
For more and more, that is the case. God is changing the Adventist church.
2. The only special thing about EW is that she was a prophet.
A false one.
That
doesn't mean that all that she wrote was inspired by God. Probably
Moses did write other things that aren't in the Bible and weren't
directly inspired by God. So what?
Apparently things Paul wrote that are in the Bible are also uninspired.
http://www.theotokos.co.za/blog/post/index/226/Bacchiocchi--Some-things-Paul-wrote-are-unacceptable.
Not an uncommon claim from Adventists.
3. Even God's prophets weren't perfect human beings. Some can get out
of the right track, or had come from the wrong track. The prophets
aren't examples, they are just messengers and we only should take the
messages that come from God. If after the message the messenger
decided to have a chat, you must know that that is not part of the
message. Even after the apostles made their sermons, some people
checked in the Scriptures if what they told was right. And they were
blessed for doing it. The same applies to EW, for example.
4. Not all adventists share the same opinion about Ellen White. So
assuming in your texts that all adventist have the same opinion about
her, may be misleading.
I know many outright reject her.

"Ellen White was and will ever be a cancer in the Seventh-day Adventist
Church." - e-mail from an Adventist to Samuele Bacchiocchi

Many just consider her useful. As a foundation of Adventism, her errors nee
d to be taken into account when judging the Adventist church.

God bless,
Stephen

Her husband
...that crosses between men and animals had created a no-man's-land between
man and beast, populated by gorillas, chimpanzees, wild bushmen of Africa,
Patagonians, and Hottentots.
God bless,
Stephen

anybody that was called a man, was considered a human being. The vision
speaks of all these classes as races of men; yet in the face of this plain
declaration, they foolishly assert that the visions teach that some men are
not human beings!

Absolutely not. But you will never believe how hard it is to find

kosher amalgamated cat/dog food.
Can you see that this cat/dog is amalgamated by due to its pagan religious
beliefs?
Can you define amalgamation by any dictionary or reference book - as animals
and humans having offspring together?

NOPE!

Can you even find that definition of yours in EGW's writings?

NOPE! You have to twist what she said, and make despot claims which all her
other writings don't support.

I'll leave you with the following to ponder and attack:

blessings!!!!

Jesus was tempted in all points like as we are, that He might know how
to succor those who should be tempted. His life is our example. He shows by
His willing obedience that man may keep the law of God and that
transgression of the law, not obedience to it, brings him into bondage. The
Saviour was full of compassion and love; He never spurned the truly
penitent, however great their guilt; but He severely denounced hypocrisy of
every sort. He is acquainted with the sins of men, He knows all their acts
and reads their secret motives; yet He does not turn away from them in their
iniquity. He pleads and reasons with the sinner, and in one sense -- that of
having Himself borne the weakness of humanity -- He puts Himself on a level
with him. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your
sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like
crimson, they shall be as wool." {4T 294.1}

Man, who has defaced the image of God in his soul by a corrupt life,
cannot, by mere human effort, effect a radical change in himself. He must
accept the provisions of the gospel; he must be reconciled to God through
obedience to His law and faith in Jesus Christ. His life from thenceforth
must be governed by a new principle. Through repentance, faith, and good
works he may perfect a righteous character, and claim, through the merits of
Christ, the privileges of the sons of God. The principles of divine truth,
received and cherished in the heart, will carry us to a height of moral
excellence that we had not deemed it possible for us to reach. "And it doth
not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we
shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath
this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure." {4T 294.2}

Here is a work for man to do. He must face the mirror, God's law,
discern the defects in his moral character, and put away his sins, washing
his robe of character in the blood of the Lamb. Envy, pride, malice, deceit,
strife, and crime will be cleansed from the heart that is a recipient of the
love of Christ and that cherishes the hope of being made like Him when we
shall see Him as He is. The religion of Christ refines and dignifies its
possessor, whatever his associations or station in life may be. Men who
become enlightened Christians rise above the level of their former character
into greater mental and moral strength. Those fallen and degraded by sin and
crime may, through the merits of the Saviour, be exalted to a position but
little lower than that of the angels. {4T 294.3}

But the influence of a gospel hope will not lead the sinner to look
upon the salvation of Christ as a matter of free grace, while he continues
to live in transgression of the law of God. When the light of truth dawns
upon his mind and he fully understands the requirements of God and realizes
the extent of his transgressions, he will reform his ways, become loyal to
God through the strength obtained from his Saviour, and lead a new and purer
life. {4T 295.1}

In the days of Noah "God saw that the wickedness of man was great in
the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only
evil continually." "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was
filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was
corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said
unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled
with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the
earth." This is an accurate description of the generation that perished in
the waters of the flood; for it was written by inspiration. {ST, November
27, 1884 par. 1}

"God saw that the wickedness of man was great," and that the "earth was
filled with violence." Lawlessness was rife. God had given men his
commandments as a rule of life; but the fear of God had well-nigh died out
of their hearts. His law was transgressed, and almost every conceivable sin
was the result. The wickedness of men was open and daring, and the cries of
the oppressed reached to Heaven. Justice was trampled in the dust. The
strong not only disregarded the rights of the weak, but forced them to
commit deeds of violence and crime. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 2}

The same characteristics prevail in our day. Crimes as grievous, as
black and terrible, are perpetrated. How many men in high positions, who
have been honored as men of talent and integrity, have proved themselves
unworthy to be trusted. How many such persons have been detected in fraud,
bribery, theft, and even murder. Take up the secular papers, and read the
accounts of murder. Many of these crimes are so cold-blooded and causeless
that it seems as though men kill one another merely from impulse or for
amusement. And these atrocities have become of such common occurrence that
they hardly elicit a comment or awaken surprise. They are looked upon as a
matter of course, as evils that must be endured. {ST, November 27, 1884 par.
3}

Before the flood the wickedness of man was great; but this was not all.
"Every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
The purposes and desires of the heart were corrupt from day to day. {ST,
November 27, 1884 par. 4}

Men sometimes flatter themselves that in this enlightened age they are
superior in knowledge and talents to those who lived before the flood; but
those who think this do not rightly estimate the physical and mental
strength of that long-lived race. Growth was slow and firm. Men did not, as
at the present time, flash into maturity early, use up their vital forces,
and only live out half their days. Their minds were of a high order, and
were strong and clear. Had these men, with their rare powers to conceive and
execute, devoted themselves to the service of God, they would have made
their Creator's name a praise in the earth, and would have answered the
purpose for which he gave them being. But they failed to do this. Man
corrupted his way on the earth. There were many giants, men of great stature
and strength, renowned for wisdom, skillful in devising the most cunning and
wonderful work; but in proportion to their skill and mental ability was
their great guilt because of unbridled iniquity. They were apostates from
God, and were cruel and oppressive to those who were not able to resist
them. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 5}

God bestowed upon these antediluvians many and rich gifts; but they
used his bounties to glorify themselves, and turned them into a curse by
fixing their thoughts and affections upon the gifts instead of the Giver.
They had goodly trees of great variety and almost without limit; but of
these they made temples, where they reveled in scenes of pleasure and
wickedness. Gold, silver, and precious stones were in abundance, but they
used these also to gratify the desires of their own proud hearts. {ST,
November 27, 1884 par. 6}

These sinful men could not deny the existence of God; but they would
have been glad to know that there was no God to witness their deeds, and
call them to an account. They delighted to put him out of their minds and
hearts. The children were not taught to fear and reverence their Maker. They
grew up unrestrained in their desires; and were without principle or
conscience. Their minds were absorbed in devising means to rival one another
in pleasure and vice. This world was all the Heaven these people wanted.
They were slaves to appetite and passion, and the indulgence of every wish
was their ambition. They were hasty and violent, and would bear no
contradiction. Everything that interfered with their desires was bitterly
hated, and quickly moved out of the way. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 7}

Yet the whole world was not corrupt. There were faithful witnesses for
God. Methuselah, Enoch, Noah, and many others labored to keep alive on the
earth the knowledge of the true God, and to stay the tide of moral evil. God
declared that his Spirit should not always strive with guilty men, but that
their probation should be a hundred and twenty years; if they did not then
cease to pollute with their sins the world and its rich treasures, he would
blot them from his creation; and these faithful ministers of righteousness
gave the warning message to the world. But the light was not heeded; and the
preaching of Noah and his co-laborers impressed hearts less and less. Many,
even of the worshipers of God, were beguiled into sin by the bewitching
allurements which were constantly before them, and lost their peculiar, holy
character. They had not sufficient moral power to stand against the
corrupting influences of the age. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 8}

By their obstinate resistance to the reproofs of conscience and the
warnings of God's prophets, that generation filled up the measure of their
iniquity, and became ripe for destruction. The patience of God was
exhausted, and he determined to manifest his justice in the utter extinction
of the sinful race, who had given themselves up to the almost unrestrained
control of Satan. Because mankind had perverted his gifts, he would deface
and destroy the things with which he had delighted to bless them; he would
sweep away the beasts of the field, and the rich vegetation which furnished
such an abundant supply of food, and transform the fair earth into one vast
scene of desolation and ruin. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 9}

Is not this picture of the antediluvian world reproduced in our time?
Man has not grown more pure and holy since the days of Noah. His heart has
not changed; it is still "deceitful above all things, and desperately
wicked." The intense worldliness of that generation is exceeded by that of
the generation now living. Money is lavishly spent for costly houses, fine
horses and carriages, and other expensive articles for luxury and display,
while the poor suffer for food and clothing. God intrusts means to his
stewards that they may prevent heart-sickening poverty with its attendant
ignorance and wretchedness; but they do not realize their duty to their
fellow-men. The fear of God is banished from their hearts, and his law is
treated with indifference and neglect. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 10}

Said Christ, "As in the days that were before the flood they were
eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that
Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them
all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." God did not
condemn the antediluvians for eating and drinking; he had given them the
fruits of the earth in great abundance to supply their physical wants. Their
sin consisted in taking these gifts without gratitude to the Giver, and
debasing themselves by indulging appetite without restraint. {ST, November
27, 1884 par. 11}

It was lawful for them to marry. Marriage was in God's order; it was
one of the first institutions which he established. He gave special
directions concerning this ordinance, clothing it with sanctity and beauty;
but these directions were forgotten, and marriage was perverted and made to
minister to passion. The pious mingled with the depraved, and became like
them in spirit and in deeds. "The sons of God saw the daughters of men that
they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." {ST,
November 27, 1884 par. 12}

A similar state of things exists now in relation to marriage. Marriages
are formed between the godly and the ungodly because inclination governs in
the selection of husband or wife. The parties do not ask counsel of God, nor
have his glory in view. Christianity ought to have a controlling,
sanctifying influence upon the marriage relation; but husband and wife are
not united by Christian principle; uncontrolled passion lies at the
foundation of many of the marriages that are contracted at the present time.
{ST, November 27, 1884 par. 13}

In Noah's day there were men who laughed to scorn his words of warning.
They said that there were fixed laws in nature, which made a flood
impossible; that Noah was crazy on this subject, and if there were any truth
in what he said, the men of renown, the wise, the prudent, the great men,
would understand the matter. There was total disbelief in Noah's testimony
in regard to the coming judgments; but this unbelief did not prevent or
hinder the coming storm. At the appointed time, "the fountains of the great
deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened," and the earth
was washed of its corruption. Only those who found shelter in the ark were
saved. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 14}

Reader, another storm is coming. The earth will again be swept by the
desolating wrath of God; and again sin and sinners will be destroyed. Do you
feel that it is an event of little importance? Read some of the utterances
of the prophets in reference to the day of God: "Behold, the day cometh that
shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly,
shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord
of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch." "Alas for the
day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the
Almighty shall it come." "The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and
hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord. The mighty man shall
cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and
distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and
gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness." {ST, November 27, 1884 par.
15}

But though this is a day of trouble and distress to the wicked, the
righteous will be able to say, "Lo, this is our God;" "we have waited for
him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation." The truth will be their
shield and buckler. God will be their refuge, and under his wings shall they
trust. Says the psalmist: "Because thou hast made the Lord, who is my
refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation, there shall no evil befall thee,
neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his
angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

Can you define amalgamation by any dictionary or reference book - as animals

NOPE!
Can you even find that definition of yours in EGW's writings?
NOPE! You have to twist what she said, and make despot claims which all her
other writings don't support.

Jesus was tempted in all points like as we are, that He might know how
to succor those who should be tempted. His life is our example. He shows by
His willing obedience that man may keep the law of God and that
transgression of the law, not obedience to it, brings him into bondage. The
Saviour was full of compassion and love; He never spurned the truly
penitent, however great their guilt; but He severely denounced hypocrisy of
every sort. He is acquainted with the sins of men, He knows all their acts
and reads their secret motives; yet He does not turn away from them in their
iniquity. He pleads and reasons with the sinner, and in one sense -- that of
having Himself borne the weakness of humanity -- He puts Himself on a level
with him. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your
sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like
crimson, they shall be as wool." {4T 294.1}
And every man that hath
this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure." {4T 294.2}
Those fallen and degraded by sin and
crime may, through the merits of the Saviour, be exalted to a position but
little lower than that of the angels. {4T 294.3}
But the influence of a gospel hope will not lead the sinner to look
upon the salvation of Christ as a matter of free grace, while he continues
to live in transgression of the law of God. When the light of truth dawns
upon his mind and he fully understands the requirements of God and realizes
the extent of his transgressions, he will reform his ways, become loyal to
God through the strength obtained from his Saviour, and lead a new and purer
life. {4T 295.1}

By Mrs. E. G. White.

By their obstinate resistance to the reproofs of conscience and the
warnings of God's prophets, that generation filled up the measure of their
iniquity, and became ripe for destruction. The patience of God was
exhausted, and he determined to manifest his justice in the utter extinction
of the sinful race, who had given themselves up to the almost unrestrained
control of Satan. Because mankind had perverted his gifts, he would deface
and destroy the things with which he had delighted to bless them; he would
sweep away the beasts of the field, and the rich vegetation which furnished
such an abundant supply of food, and transform the fair earth into one vast
scene of desolation and ruin. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 9}
God intrusts means to his
stewards that they may prevent heart-sickening poverty with its attendant
ignorance and wretchedness; but they do not realize their duty to their
fellow-men. The fear of God is banished from their hearts, and his law is
treated with indifference and neglect. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 10}
27, 1884 par. 11}
It was lawful for them to marry. Marriage was in God's order; it was
one of the first institutions which he established. He gave special
directions concerning this ordinance, clothing it with sanctity and beauty;
but these directions were forgotten, and marriage was perverted and made to
minister to passion. The pious mingled with the depraved, and became like
them in spirit and in deeds. "The sons of God saw the daughters of men that
they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." {ST,
November 27, 1884 par. 12}
{ST, November 27, 1884 par. 13}
Only those who found shelter in the ark were
saved. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 14}
15}
-
{ST, November 27, 1884 par. 16}
How does this explain different races of men as the product of amalgamation?
Different races and different species were produced by amalgamation.

"Since the flood there has been amalgamation of man and beast, as may be
seen in the almost endless varieties of species of animals, and in certain
races of men."

You tried to explain it, but your explanation was bigoted and racist even if
you now deny it.

Can you see that this cat/dog is amalgamated by due to its pagan religious
beliefs?
Can you define amalgamation by any dictionary or reference book - as animals
and humans having offspring together?
NOPE!
The dictionary doesn't give every possible form of mixing that can occur.
However, it does consider amalgamation to be mixing, and the animal/human
mating fits the definition.
Post by Stephen Korsman
Can you even find that definition of yours in EGW's writings?
NOPE! You have to twist what she said, and make despot claims which all her
other writings don't support.
It's clear that the results of amalgamation were visually discernable in
different races.

Which racial features are due to paganism?

God bless,

blessings!!!!
Jesus was tempted in all points like as we are, that He might know how
to succor those who should be tempted. His life is our example. He shows by
His willing obedience that man may keep the law of God and that
transgression of the law, not obedience to it, brings him into bondage. The
Saviour was full of compassion and love; He never spurned the truly
penitent, however great their guilt; but He severely denounced hypocrisy of
every sort. He is acquainted with the sins of men, He knows all their acts
and reads their secret motives; yet He does not turn away from them in their
iniquity. He pleads and reasons with the sinner, and in one sense -- that of
having Himself borne the weakness of humanity -- He puts Himself on a level
with him. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your
sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like
crimson, they shall be as wool." {4T 294.1}
And every man that hath
this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure." {4T 294.2}
Those fallen and degraded by sin and
crime may, through the merits of the Saviour, be exalted to a position but
little lower than that of the angels. {4T 294.3}
But the influence of a gospel hope will not lead the sinner to look
upon the salvation of Christ as a matter of free grace, while he continues
to live in transgression of the law of God. When the light of truth dawns
upon his mind and he fully understands the requirements of God and realizes
the extent of his transgressions, he will reform his ways, become loyal to
God through the strength obtained from his Saviour, and lead a new and purer
life. {4T 295.1}
November 27, 1884 Noah's Time and Ours.
-
By Mrs. E. G. White.
-
In the days of Noah "God saw that the wickedness of man was great in
the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only
evil continually." "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was
filled with violence.
27, 1884 par. 1}
The
strong not only disregarded the rights of the weak, but forced them to
commit deeds of violence and crime. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 2}
3}
Before the flood the wickedness of man was great; but this was not all.
"Every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil
continually."
Post by Stephen Korsman
The purposes and desires of the heart were corrupt from day to day. {ST,
November 27, 1884 par. 4}
They were apostates from
God, and were cruel and oppressive to those who were not able to resist
them. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 5}
{ST,
November 27, 1884 par. 6}
Everything that interfered with their desires was bitterly
hated, and quickly moved out of the way. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 7}
Many,
even of the worshipers of God, were beguiled into sin by the bewitching
allurements which were constantly before them, and lost their peculiar, holy
character. They had not sufficient moral power to stand against the
corrupting influences of the age. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 8}
Because mankind had perverted his gifts, he would deface
and destroy the things with which he had delighted to bless them; he would
sweep away the beasts of the field, and the rich vegetation which furnished
such an abundant supply of food, and transform the fair earth into one vast
scene of desolation and ruin. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 9}
God intrusts means to his
stewards that they may prevent heart-sickening poverty with its attendant
ignorance and wretchedness; but they do not realize their duty to their
fellow-men. The fear of God is banished from their hearts, and his law is
treated with indifference and neglect. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 10}
27, 1884 par. 11}
It was lawful for them to marry. Marriage was in God's order; it was
one of the first institutions which he established. He gave special
directions concerning this ordinance, clothing it with sanctity and beauty;
but these directions were forgotten, and marriage was perverted and made to
minister to passion. The pious mingled with the depraved, and became like
them in spirit and in deeds. "The sons of God saw the daughters of men that
they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." {ST,
November 27, 1884 par. 12}
{ST, November 27, 1884 par. 13}
Only those who found shelter in the ark were
saved. {ST, November 27, 1884 par. 14}
15}

I think he is only a little pagan -- he is tan and brown with traces of

variations are because he has roots in all kinds of paginism, tan, brown and
black. I am going to have to teach him about the EGW, the Sabbath and the

Since you've bought the idea of evolution, I thought you might be interested
